Alicia Keys Buys A $20.8 Million Dollar Home Tony Stark Would Be Jealous Of

Award-winning singer-songwriter Alicia Keys and hubby Kasseem Dean, known as Swizz Beatz, a hip hop recording artist and music producer who has produced music for artists such as Kanye West and Beyonce recently purchased a luxurious 10,653 square-foot mansion in La Jolla, known as the “Razor House” for $20.8 million.
Located on the rocky shores of San Diego, the striking home built in 2007 by architect Wallace E. Cunningham was designed with fearless imagination in mind. The razor-thin glass structure perched high above the Pacific Ocean and immersed deep into the hillside was widely regarded as an architectural marvel, fitting for a home that pays tribute to the beautiful yet treacherous location. The wow-factor characteristics of its design and scenic landscape made it highly sought-after for filming, which is why Calvin Klein and Visa shot commercials at the property.
Noteworthy features of this luxurious home include a library, soaring glass walls throughout, a theater, an all-glass elevator, a designer kitchen with custom appliances, two steam rooms, a six-car underground garage, a two-level guest house, a rooftop entertaining space, remarkable outdoor terraces, and an infinity pool that hangs above a cliff. The property also has astonishing panoramic views from the time one enters through the grand privacy gates.
The oceanfront house was originally listed for $30 million, but after sitting on the market for around a year, the previous owner Donald Burns switched up realtors, and significantly drop the asking price. The home was then scooped up by Keys and Swiss Beatz at a massive reduction. Douglas Elliman agents Josh and Matt Altman represented the seller, while also representing the buyers (Keys & Swizz Beatz) alongside colleague Stephen Sweeney.
