A Light-Filled Modern Home In Nashville
When the homeowners of this stunning Nashville home wanted a fresh start, they turned to Clare Kennedy and Mitzi Maynard. From the ground up, these two interior designers have transformed this minimal designed space into a calm and collected haven.
The homeowners also have attention to detail and creativity. They were able to add one of the defining architectural elements in the home, a pair of arched English doors to greet guests. They found the vintage doors from an antique dealer in England. Having design enthusiasts as clients helped Clare and Mitzi achieve this breathtaking end result.
As you walk through the rest of the home, you will notice a consistent theme throughout. To offset the white color palette, Clare and Mitzi added modern Mediterranean pieces to add warmth to the space. Floor-to-ceiling windows in every room help fill the various spaces with natural light.
In the heart of the home, the large kitchen is fitted with a double Wolf range, concrete countertops, custom cabinetry, and hand-forged European hardware. To make a big statement, the homeowners pushed to have a minimal oversized brass pendant over the large island. The rattan stools and vintage Oushak rug adds age to the space.
The living room is accentuated by three large steel French doors that give the perfect view to the landscaped backyard and pool. The centerpiece of the room is a modern concrete fireplace that features custom wood push-panel doors. The large sun room has all-white Cisco Brothers linen chairs in the center of the room perfect for intimate gatherings.
Clare and Mitzi found a way to transport the homeowners from a well-established Nashville neighborhood, to a dreamy villa in the Mediterranean. We are in absolute love with the finished project.
